Growing Together. Learning for Life.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ashfield is a small suburb (less than 1 square kilometer) that is surrounded by four distinct boundaries. Ashfield Primary School was built in 1955 with an initial enrolment of 111. Numbers steadily grew until a peak was reached in 1971 when 530 students attended the school.

Ashfield has 14 classrooms, of which five are used for primary classes, one as a specialized area for our Education Support students and four were converted into a Pre-Primary and Kindergarten for our Early Childhood Education.

Other facilities in the school include a Computer Lab, a Library Resource Centre and a specialized Arts Centre. Ashfield has a large recently refurbished sealed quadrangle that is marked for netball, basketball, and tabloid games. Sheltered tables and benches have been installed in the quadrangle. We have a covered assembly area with a small stage and markings for games.
